day 7: weather

September 10, 2008

hey daba!

it was a rainy night again last night, as heavy as the night before where loud thunder reverberated and lightning illuminated the night skies but the only difference was, guess what, i was late. he3! i didnt bother to test my endurance and sprint to the office coz i would have not make it no matter what. so it was a stroll to the office ten mins after i was supposed to log in. twas my second late so it was not a big deal, i mean, the ipod was down the drain the first time i was late, so i could not care less. he3!
i used the umbrella you bought for me he3! non-sense, just wanted to mention. the soon to be osrp/ibm office currently under construction, adjacent to our office, is now getting a paint job. the strong paint fumes were leaking into our office through some ventilation holes and all employees were experiencing a different kind of “high”. he3! the acrid smell of the paint was like heavy air lingering about suffocating us with each breath we were taking, and damn! it was so addicting. ha3! just kidding. but seriously twas hard to breathe and we needed to get out for fresh air and extend our break times without getting reprimanded. the admin, admittedly, just couldn’t do anything about it. they said the construction works could not be done during mall hours. so it’s gonna be us to suffer, or to some–who knows– to savor, the fume that was paint and thinner.
it’s 8:21am now, a bit late going home, may pesteng call na lumionaog bko man benta! he3! ailah sun daba! hope tonight’s weather is better, i can imagine how perfect the weather is there. hummm fresh Barcelona air! ha3! take care! juwalah su!

Day 5 & 6: getting fit

September 9, 2008

hey daba!

i failed to leave a post last sunday so this post is day five and six he3! cencia namatangaan ako kan sunday kaya dai nko nkaapit internetan. in my previous post i mentioned bout my plan to start losing weight and i did. sat morning, 5:15 i jogged my way to the plaza, took me 20mins to get there. the first day, as expected, was the toughest. my limbs, no longer used to the strain of jogging, except of course when my perfect attendance is on the line. i sweated like a hog, it was an effort just to breathe, and i only circled the plaza no more than ten times. what a pity, had to admit then how badly in shape i am. in the afternoon i headed to sm bacoor where i bought some books and had some shooting spree at the arcade. sunday morning, my second day of getting into shape, was better than the previous day. was more relaxed, had more rounds, breathing was easier and i felt i lost five kilos already he3! feeling ko lng palan! ha3! i read the book i bought all afternoon, it’s interesting–”Tin Man” by Dale Brown. i grabbed it only because your name is on it! he3! dai man sobrang pagkamundo naman ito he3! it’s all about an ultimate one-man army out to avenge the death of his brother. the cover shows a silhouette of a sniper and that’s what made me took it home. he3! sniper addict!
heavy rains poured last night but i made it to the office on time, i ran from the MRT station to the office just to test if what i had been doing over the weekend was of any help. indeed, to my surprise, there was an improvement, no longer gasping for air when i reached the office unlike a week ago. he3!
it’s 7:39 am here going home after this entry. here’s a line from one of confucious’ words of enlightenment: (it was my motto over the weekend) “Galaw-galaw para ‘wag ma-stroke” he3! ailah sun my dearest! rest well! mushees!

day 4: losing it

September 6, 2008

hey daba!
after i left the office yesterday i dropped by the mall in Bacoor to buy board shorts, not the expensive ones. bought three for 99php apiece, not bad huh, not at all coz they’re comfy and they look good too. the shorts are not the purontong type like my white billabong, they look more like a basketball shorts with the make of a board shorts, that distinct soft smooth feel when you rub against your hands. perfect for jogging. did i say jogging? he3! yup i’m gonna do it. has to start losing the extra taba. he3! i bought three ankle socks with it and went straight home.
then we txted some, and i slept some, and i woke up and we chatted some then i slept again then i woke up and rushed my way to the office. yeah i took a bath. then here’s what pushed me to jog this afternoon and to really jog hard. i was late! 3 mins! if only i ran faster it could have saved me at least three mins. i thought why not make a sequel to “Fat Guy Walking”, “Fat Guy Running” sounds good! he3! do we use the term sequel to poems? i dont know. he3! pesteng taba. i’m gonna jog this afternoon, sleep muna diit, then off to jog. i’m giving myself three months to do this, to build cardio and lose some weight and if i succeed, i wont be late no more! ha3! that’s the whole point of this jogging thing. you see daba i’ll be able to run much faster and i can beat the clock everyday without a trace of exasperation  and i’ll win that ipod for perfect attendance he3! i could hear the music…ipod. ha3! who says i simply have to wake up early to make it to work on time? jogging na lang, lintikan imbes na kumpleto turog! ha3! same old stubborn dada! mushees!
it’s saturday 7:12am dhen and i will mit, will give her auntie Mila’s glasses then uli nko. wait till you see your dada in tiptop shape listening to music on my newly won ipod nano! dream on!

day 3: benta

September 5, 2008

hey daba!

it’s a sales day for us both! yehey! you had your first sale, maray nakabenta partner mo daba he3! i’m confident you’ll make loads of sale too! i can still remember how it feels like closing my very first sale. kaya lang, if you had your first sale with the help of a partner mine’s different. this day was not so good for me. my partner’s wife gave birth already so i’m responsible for all his sales and customers. i was busy attending to one of his cust’s concerns when his voicemail indicator lit signifying a message left. i did a quick check to see who it was and ignored the vm after finding out the caller didnt leave a message. i was so busy resolving his cust’s concern, responding to my own custs and preparing some quotes at the same time that i didnt bother to check the number. that i would regret later.
today i got a missed call and i checked the number, it was an old customer. i, as dedicated a back up executive as i am, cared to check his phone to see if there were calls i missed. there was none except for one. i pulled up the number and to my surprise a whopping 5K order with a GP of 600+ was placed by an inbound rep! damn i almost died. i felt so guilty not only for the lost sale but especially because this month is crucial for him. he has to make it, you know what i mean. so here i am, lucky as my Penny, had another sale $2.5K 230 GP placing it under his name to make up for the sale i let slip away. so it’s 230 down 370 to go. he3! tony will save us! ha3! nasupog ako daba, just hope makumpleto ko su 600gp by monday. dont worry daba i’m safe and can afford to fail this month.
grabe ining aldaw na ini daba. your partner gave you your first sale yey! while i wasted my partner’s away. tsk tsk tsk.
well it could be better, it’s 8:31am here, will leave after this entry.
check out my ym status: “shawarma shake on the rocks pls!” he3! yummy! ode to our fud trips! he3! juwalah su! ingat jan and smile always!

day 2: mem stick

September 4, 2008

hey daba!
i bought a card reader on tuesday for my phone, for some reason the laptop is no longer recognizing my k750i. thought i would transfer our latest pix to my flashdrive and have them uploaded to photobucket so you could view them on your free time. i did all that on tue, and yesterday i remembered having the 520gb mem stick which i assumed was swiped erased by the guard several months ago, thought i’d give it a try. and so i did. and it didnt work. sayang. we have loads of pix on it especially our light expo trip, some candid shots and my ibm pix. not only was i frustrated but short of sleep once again. i didnt give up on the first try, had to insert the mem stick, re-insert using an adapter, insert a different mem stick to see if twas the card reader that was not working, tried it on other slots. damn, it just wont work. sayang. of course it didnt took that much of my time, it was that myth buster show. kulitun panu daba! nag-gibo sinda rocket from civil war era. maray na lng nakakua ako pass. he3!
it’s 7:32am here. no websense and i’m about to upload our pix! yey! he3! i’ll let you know when i’m done.
P.S. unpublished post ko daba, hulaan mo kung kusuarin sya dapat…
“and so we did it, pulled the trigger so many times. never thought it could be this so fun so addicting, blowing things. gives you the high, the satisfaction hitting the targets. all it takes is that one shot to hit the sorry thing and you’re hooked. 75 bucks for 40 shots plus a price if you dont miss the targets and loads of fun sharing it with someone special, its all worth it! did it twice and went home with a stuffy and a child’s flash card and a bunch of happy moments.”

day 1: worries

September 3, 2008

hey daba,
i told you i woke up to the sound of an incoming message. i lied, i was anxiously waiting for your message he3! the clock says 3:23pm, should have slept four hours earlier but i find it hard to, it was hot but tolerable, and weird it was hard to breathe. when i received your message i felt sudden relief and joy, all the time i was worried, then came your messsage saying you’re in my homeland Barcelona he3! that explains the warm smothering afternoon air, twas all in the mind, or the heart. so i tried to sleep with a smile on my face feeling so relieved. then all of a sudden i felt it again, the heat, so real. lintian mainit palan tlga! so downstairs i went seeking refuge to the softness of the sofa, and the refreshing breeze of an electric fan. i slept. and woke up to the alarm two hours later. grabe pirut! rushed to the office for a sleeping pass and i made it with permission to sleep at 2am.
it’s 8:21am here. will leave after this entry. my ym status says–”six years and six months of morning sunshine, snatched by the cold night, eight months and a day less, the dawn awaits” he3! makapungaw panu! ailah sun my daba! juwalah su!

thought my latest entry would be the last

she left, and so began the entries to this journal…
